Informational section about how Ride With GPS Works
RIDE WITH GPS is a Ride Database that is used with a GPS or Smartphone device. You can down-load Ride Profiles and take yourself on a self guided tour. You can also make your own maps, record your ride stats, and compair yourself against others.
I use a < Garmin 810 Bicycle GPS.> (link) You can get a good one for about $400.00. They are very accurate.
Ride with GPS has an < Get the APP > for Smart Phones that allows you to load in the Self-Guided Trail MAPS, and the app will guide you around
With the Free Membership package at RideWithGPS, you can build your own maps, and load them to your device.
There are many map views, and the maps are current. As new trails are used, they are added to the OSM Cycles Map. Use this view to see all the trail systems.
Also see this < World Map > link. This allows you to view rides all over the country. Perfect if you are on Travel here on in Europe.
